Giving to The Rock YFC for Furniture Upgrades

Pembina Co-op is proud to support its local communities, including a recent donation of $500 to The Rock YFC Youth Drop-In Centre towards renewing some of their aging furniture in the centre. As stated by Pauline Zacharias, Board Secretary for the group: "When The Rock was opened in 2005, we received donations of used furniture which is still in use. This furniture is tired and worn. With 70 youth, on average, using it every week, it is need of being replaced." The centre, located on Broadway Ave. in Pilot Mound, is occasionally rented out for public events such as family gatherings or birthday parties but mostly serves as a drop-in centre for the youth of the area.
