Kraft Heinz Groceries for Good Food Donation
March 20, 2025

Pembina Co-op is proud to announce a donation of $1000 worth of Kraft Heinz products to Souris & Area Harvest Food Bank. This donation was made possible through the Kraft Heinz Groceries for Good contest, which helps support food banks across Canada.

Kraft Heinz entered stores that purchased participating products into the contest, and Pembina Co-op's Souris Food Store was thrilled to be selected as a winner.

“I really like the idea that it’s not just Heinz Kraft that did this but it’s the whole community, the people that shop here that gave us a chance to win this” said Lolita Aumuller, Souris Food Store Grocery Manager.

As part of the contest, Kraft Heinz encouraged the Souris Food Store team scan as many eligible items as possible through the till, up to a total value of $1,000. The resulting donation included a significant supply of Kraft Dinner, peanut butter, pasta sauce, baked beans, ketchup, pizza crust, mayo and salad dressing.

The Pembina Co-op Souris Food team prepared the donation, loaded it into a van, and delivered it to the St. Paul's United Church Basement, where the Souris & Area Harvest Food Bank operates.

Ann Swaenepoel representing the Souris & Area Harvest Food Bank expressed her gratitude:

“We’re a small town and we’re averaging sometimes 60 hampers a month and it doesn’t take long to go through supplies. So, this donation is such a help just because the numbers keep going up. This town has been amazing for donations, and this is just one more step to giving out some items that we don’t usually get donated.”

Pembina Co-op is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community and support local families through initiatives like Groceries for Good.
