Pembina Co-op launches TREE PLANTING Initiative

In 2021, Pembina Co-op launched the first annual tree planting initiative as a campaign for sustainability in our communities.

"We give back to our communities in so many ways, this was an opportunity for us to not only give back to our communities, but to give back to the environment in a meaningful way!" stated Becky Switzer - People, Culture & Communications Manager.

In 2021, the communities of Souris and Pilot Mound were the recipients of a monetary donation to purchase the trees and when the time was right, volunteer members of the Pembina Co-op team came out and helped the community prepare the ground and plant the trees.

In 2022, the campaign was wide spread throughout the Pembina Co-op trading area, with the communities of Oakbank, La Riviere, Cartwright, Baldur, St. Claude, Notre Dame and Crystal City receiving the monetary donation to purchase the trees and once again, an amazing crew of volunteer team members to help prepare the ground and plant the trees!
