Pembina Co-op's Souris Gas Bar & Convenience Store team are getting ready for our 3rd annual Fuel Good Day on September 20, 2022!!
Pembina Co-op's VISION is "To positively impact our communities" and our 2022 Fuel Good Day Recipient organization is doing just that!
The Souris Elks Playground has provided for kids of all ages to enjoy hours of fresh air and physical activity. With a variety of activities for all skill levels, the playground is a short walk from all other Victoria Park features, and close to natural areas which are equipped for outdoor cookouts and family gatherings.
The play area is also situated near community museums and heritage attractions.
In late 2021, the Souris Elks Lodge #21 embarked on a project that would enhance the current playground to add inclusive equipment. Inclusive equipment allows children with challenges in mobility, hearing, vision, dexterity, and other development to feel included in a group setting. The project is anticipated to cost $50K and they are well on their way with almost half of that already raised through grants and community support.
On September 20, 2022 — FUEL GOOD DAY .... all day long, we will donate 10¢ from every litre of fuel sold at our Souris Gas Bar to these deserving project! In addition, we'll also donate $1 for each Co-operative Coffee and Big Cool Slush sold!
The Souris Elks Lodge #21 will also be hosting a BBQ with the proceeds going towards the inclusive playground project, so be sure to stop in a FILL UP your vehicle fuel tank and your body fuel tank!!!
