Pembina Co-op is looking for a full-time Food Store Manager for our Souris Food & Liquor Store. This is a great fit for someone with leadership experience who likes working with people, building strong customer relationships, and being part of a well-established local business with a friendly, hardworking team.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, the Food Store Manager participates as a key member of our Pembina Consumers Co-op organization, dealing with day-to-day operations of the Souris Food & Liquor Store. The Manager will provide leadership, direction, and support to ensure the location delivers trusted products and services to the local community.

  • Development and achievement of financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits within established guidelines
  • Provides operational direction and supports the implementation of programs and policies. Applies a broad-based level of operational knowledge, commodity direction and managerial skills to achieve established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Act as a liaison and public relations representative within the community, monitoring member satisfaction levels and participates in the development of products and services to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Provides leadership in the area of employee relations, hiring, training, development, recognition and discipline
  • Provides leadership in the area of asset protection and health & safety

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Food Store Management and:

  • You have Grade 12 education
  • Preferred post-secondary education in business related courses
  • You have relevant customer service experience of at least 8 years and preference for at least 3 years of leadership experience
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
