Pembina Co-op is seeking a full-time Grocery Manager to assist our Food Store Manager in Souris, Manitoba. This is an exciting opportunity for taking on a leadership role working with a dedicated team, serving a close-knit rural community, and helping shape the continued success of an essential local business.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Grocery Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of tasks and will be accountable for planning the direction of the grocery department. This position plays an integral role in assisting the Food Store Manager achieve budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and execute sales strategies that support Pembina Co-op’s vision. Achieving established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery as well as identifying areas for improvement. The Grocery Manager is responsible for training & development, coaching, and motivating the department team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results.

Who you are:

You are an experienced, people-focused leader who is ready to grow a career in Food Store Management and contribute to the success of a rural community. You bring:

  • Grade 12 education.
  • At least 3 years of relevant customer service experience, with a preference for at least 1 year of leadership experience.
  • A reputation for honesty, trustworthiness, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.
  • A collaborative leadership style, a commitment to building strong relationships, and an appreciation for the value that different perspectives bring to shared success.
