Customer Service Clerk

CASUAL position — Work hours are dependent and will fluctuate based on the local home and building industry

The successful candidate, under the direction of the Branch Manager, will possess strong work ethics, superior customer service and organizational skills, keeping in mind the responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy environment for themselves, their team and our members/customers.

This position is primarily responsible for the hardware daily operations, including receiving hardware, inventory and stocking, merchandising and store displays. Previous experience in hardware as well as product knowledge is a definite asset but not required. This position will also assist with orders in the lumber yard at peak times.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 drivers license, with reliable transportation;
• Experience working independently and an ambitious self starter;
• Ability to work effectively within a team;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Business hours are Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and Saturday (9:00 am to 1:00 pm), as such incumbent MUST be prepared to work Saturdays.

Preference will be given to high school students looking to obtain work experience and summer employment.
